Frantz Fanon arrived in Algeria as a doctor and left as one of the great theorists of liberation. He understood colonisation as a wound to the mind as much as the body — and made Algeria's struggle speak to the whole colonised world.

Their story
Martinican-born psychiatrist and thinker, Frantz Fanon worked at Blida hospital before joining the Algerian revolution. His writings analyzed colonial violence and the psychology of liberation.
